TISCreport UK Modern Slavery Act Companies in Compliance List 2019

Published on: 18 October 2019

For Anti-Slavery Day this year, TISCreport made the decision to publish the list of companies whose modern slavery statements passed AI technical compliance checks. Enabling companies struggling with compliance to see examples in their sectors will raise the bar for next year.
TISCreport Companies in Compliance 2019

TISCreport has been monitoring modern slavery act compliance with the Section 54 Transparency in Supply Chains clause since 2015. Over the years we have seen companies struggle in meeting compliance criteria and now, with our newly developed AI, we are able to help them overcome the barriers to technical compliance. The list has 1013 companies within it in 19 sectors by SIC code, so there are examples that will show what technical compliance looks like within those sectors.

Words of encouragement from companies on the list for others in their sector in need of more support to comply include:

Corney & Barrow: “Transparency in the supply chain is being driven not just by legislation but increasingly by consumers as a condition of doing business.  Transparency is a prerequisite for clear and honest relationships with suppliers whilst building trust with our customer. The fight against modern slavery – a particularly heinous crime – can only be effectively won if all companies play their part.”

Europackaging UK: "We welcome the Modern Slavery Act 2015 as a recognition of the need and commitment to better address a long-standing and mostly invisible human rights violation pervading all areas of society. The more we talk about it, the more we raise awareness and take steps to prevent it, more chances are there that it makes less victims. Let's keep increasing these chances."
