Our data combines open-source information with verified datasets, offering up-to-date insights backed by advanced verification and regular updates to support informed decisions and compliance.
We collate data from a wide range of sources. The core of our datasets is corporate transparency data, published from sources such as Companies House and other similar international registers. For registration information from more obscure international sources we lean heavily on OpenCorporates who do an amazing job of collating that data.
We augment this corporate data infrastructure with a massive range of official published data sources. As part of this we actively acquire compliance documents and other company information from corporate websites. Last but not least, a significant amount of information is updated and maintained by our members who form the foundation of our transparency community.
Some of our data sources are authoritative, and require no validation.
Other data sources, such as the Home Office Modern Slavery Registry, contain user generated or self-reported content, where validation is left to Civil Society. For this reason, this type of data is sometimes unreliable, and so we apply validation and data cleaning through a combination of Machine Learning, AI analysis and, where necessary, expert human intervention.
This is a constant and iterative process, which aims to ensure that all of our data is accurate and, where possible, complete.
Having a dataset is one thing, but keeping it current is a constant process. We have multiple servers and systems managing a variety of data sources, acquiring updates and validating that data.
Additionally those datasets change, formats are updated, some sources become outdated and new sources appear all of the time. All of this requires significant work to keep to the quality of data we provide.
Additionally new technologies and techniques become available allowing for us to improve how we acquire that data, and potentially new sources of that data.
All of this costs time and money that is supported by our members through their subscriptions.
Data alone doesn’t drive change—insight does. TISCreport’s unique combination of compliance documents, supply chain relationships, and ESG metrics is processed through our proprietary analytics to surface meaningful trends and risks.
Our Transparency Score distils multiple data points into a clear, comparative rating, helping organisations benchmark performance, identify gaps, and drive improvements.
By connecting the dots across datasets, we empower users to make informed decisions that mitigate non-financial risks and enhance corporate responsibility.
Non-financial risks like modern slavery, environmental harm, and governance failures can threaten operations, reputations and of course lead to financial damage.
TISCreport helps organisations stay ahead of these risks by monitoring real-time changes across 1.53 million companies of interest and over 967,000 supply chain relationships.
Our continuous data validation and alerts ensure you’re the first to know when a supplier’s compliance status changes, enabling swift, proactive responses to potential risks before they escalate.
