The UK’s Public Sector has been the strongest proponent of supply chain transparency for resilience and numerous other benefits.
Says Jaya Chakrabarti, CEO of TISCreport: “Local government in particular is making huge strides in using supply chain transparency to make substantial social impact through their suppliers and into their communities. It’s now possible for buyers to identify potential suppliers who can help them meet their social impact targets. This includes their diversity requirements (e.g. BAME-led), suppliers who pay the real living wage, or those that are accredited social enterprises, all thanks to better reporting and the use of AI. In the private sector, B2B Suppliers have much best practice to learn from here, with retailers leading the way. ”
