There has been a spike in the number of companies with statements this month as expected, in line with the first tranche of companies complying with Home Office guidelines on posting their slavery and human trafficking statements. As awareness grows we anticipate that this figure will increase more rapidly with the sign-up of some lynchpin companies in each sector. Some companies have been more ambitious than others in setting their KPIs, but we will work with all of them to enable them to set the bar higher every year. The greater visibility we can give companies on both best practice and sector intelligence, the bolder they will become in their quest to eradicate exploitation from within their supply chains.
