Objectives

Objectives

London-procurement

London Mayor Sadiq Khan set up the Good Work Standard, a set of criteria covering fair pay and conditions, wellbeing, skills and progression, and diversity and recruitment. Led by Transport for London, they needed contextual ESG data to help them assess and increase their desired social impact through their supply chain, starting with their strategic suppliers. The lack of visibility of companies in scope for key regulations made it difficult to see which suppliers needed more support to help achieve social impact objectives for the London Mayor's Office. With an annual spend of £8B, the buying leverage across procurement partners represented significant potential for good.

Solutions

TISCreport created a live custom dashboard for each procurement partner, and connected data feeds from key data sources spanning government compliance registers (UK MSA, Payment Practices, Gender Pay Gap Reporting) and softer metrics (Real Living Wage employers, social enterprise status, Welsh Government Ethical Employment in Supply Chains Code of Practice). Suppliers were quick to get onboard once their buyers invited them. They in turn are inviting tier 2 suppliers.
